Police hunt budgie thief after birds stolen

Officers from Grampian Police are probing a budgie theft in the Mill of Towie area of Moray.

The raid on the aviary near Keith occurred at some time between 7pm on Thursday and 9.30am on Friday.

An unspecified number of the small parrots were stolen and the cost of the theft is estimated at a low three-figure sum.

Anyone who has information on the incident or who knows the current whereabouts of the birds is asked to contact Constable Scott Witkowski at Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700.
